Golden Turmeric Crispbreads

Our passion for organic has brought us together with our friends at River Cottage, who have cooked up these delicious festive recipes inspired by our range of organic herbal lattes. Serve up these elegant cracker crispbreads at a Christmas party or drinks reception with a selection of dips to level-up your party snacks.

What you need:

  • 150 grams strong bread flour

  • 50 grams stone-ground rye flour

  • 30 grams Pukka Herbs Turmeric Gold Herbal Latte Powder

  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds

  • 1 teaspoon black onion seeds

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt

  • sprinkle sea salt

  • 110 grams sourdough starter

  • 200 ml pale ale


What you do

  1. Place the flours, Pukka Turmeric Gold Latte powder, fine salt, sourdough starter (or yeast) and the ale into a large bowl and beat into a smooth mixture. Cover with a tea towel and put somewhere warm for 20 minutes.

  2. Cover two flat baking trays with greaseproof paper and pour half the mixture onto each one, scrape the mixture over the baking trays until a very thin layer has been achieved.

  3. Sprinkle over the seeds and flaked sea salt.

  4. Preheat an oven to 150c and cook for 35 minutes, peel the cracker sheet off the greaseproof and turn over, place back in the oven and cook for another 40 minutes or until completely dried out.

  5. Allow to cool and break into pieces.

  6. Serve with a seasonal hummus of your choice sprinkled with Pukka Turmeric Gold Latte powder.
