Sustainability Manager

Based in our award-winning Bristol head office, we are looking for a Sustainability Manager to join our Herbal and Sustainability team. The role is a permanent contract, full-time, with a competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience. About the role

As our Sustainability Manager you’ll lead the delivery of Pukka’s sustainability programme working to engage, influence and inspire the Pukka team to achieve its mission and industry leading sustainability goals. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring Pukka’s position as one of the smartest, most beautiful and authentic brands in the world, embedding sustainability thought leadership in all we do.

The projects you’ll be responsible for are varied and each play a key part in ensuring Pukka continues to lead the way as a sustainable brand. Key projects will include managing Pukka’s Carbon Net Zero plan and ensuring the sustainability of Pukka product innovation and packaging.  You’ll lead the implementation and reporting of industry leading sustainability goals to achieve continuous improvement across the Pukka value chain, as the business grows.

In this exciting role, you’ll work alongside our R&D and Portfolio teams, to lead the identification of emerging ecodesign related trends and innovation to make Pukka products sustainable by design. You will develop the long-term visibility of Pukka’s carbon footprint, support work to drive the continued improvement in Pukka’s B Corp score and Fair For Life environmental impact, and work with our Communications and Herbal teams to identify external opportunities to scale our sustainability impact by inspiring others to take action.

About you

To be our Sustainability Manager you’ll have substantial sustainability experience gained in consultancy and/or in-house, and have experience in sustainable innovation, packaging and waste. Experience leading and owning sustainability reporting and product life-cycle analysis, cradle to cradle design and/or embedding sustainability into product and service development, is essential. You’ll have a genuine and deep interest in plants and their relationship with people and the planet, be someone who champions the environment and sustainability.

An excellent communicator, both written and oral, you’ll be able to inspire others with your passion and enthusiasm for sustainability and have the ability to prepare and deliver impactful presentations for cross-functional teams and diverse audiences. A strong team player, you’ll inspire confidence and is someone who respects and values others input.

You’ll possess strong project management skills and be highly organised with the ability to plan, focus and prioritise effectively. Determined to deliver excellence, you’ll be someone who aims high and can work collaboratively, building impactful working relationships with internal and external partners. Experience of complex senior stakeholder engagement is needed.
