Business Development Lead - Europe & AMET (Africa, Middle East and Turkey)

Do you aspire to work for a purposeful, sustainable, fast paced and growing ethical business Reporting to Pukka’s Global Business Development Director, the Business Development Lead Europe & AMET is a permanent full-time role, with a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development. Based in our award-winning Bristol (UK) head office, or European/AMET hub, this is an exciting role with international travel opportunities (in line with Covid-19 guidance).

About the opportunity

As Business Development Lead you’ll be responsible for the delivery of Pukka’s vision and mission in the Europe & AMET (Africa, Middle East, Turkey) region. You’ll do this by connecting as many people to the power of herbs across those countries, channels, customers, and categories as possible, and inspiring them to nurture health and happiness within the region. Europe and AMET are the largest of 4 Management Units (MU’s) within our newly evolving operating model and represent around 500m€ TO each. This role will be responsible for driving the in-market teams to fulfil Pukka’s purpose and take ownership of developing Pukka within those regions. Developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans is crucial in this role, as well as inspiring the in-market teams, customers, partners, company stakeholders and Pukka colleagues to create positive change in the world and spread our Healthy Living Philosophy. As the single point of contact for the management unit you’ll be the regional voice for all global marketing plans and execute outstanding knowledge-based selling. An inspiring leader and activist, you will ensure smooth collaboration between Pukka colleagues, country leads and distributors, and constantly develop ways of working with all stakeholders. Reporting to Pukka’s Global Business Development Director, you’ll provide clarity to the leadership team where needed and act as a core of knowledge and expertise for the region.

About you

With a demonstrable and sustained success across a range of functions within the FMCG sector, including exposure to customer development, commercial P&L ownership, marketing execution (preferably with a purpose driven brand) and stakeholder engagement, you’ll be experienced at developing and delivering against annual operating plans for revenue, profit and customer satisfaction. Multi-channel experience would be highly beneficial, particularly brand building in retail, ecommerce, pharmacy & OOH, as well as experience developing and implementing long term strategy. Having previously worked in an international environment across different cultures and time zones, you’ll be an effective, persuasive, and respectful communicator who builds successful working relationships both internally and externally. With proven experience creating, building, developing and leading exceptional international (virtual) teams you’ll be able to apply an entrepreneurial mindset towards growth and collaborative ways of working.
