Winter Warming Chamomile and Vanilla Lemonade

A simple warming drink made with our Chamomile, Vanilla and Manuka Honey tea, to help hydrate and relax you during the winter, especially after some time outside in the cold. This warming drink can also calm and soothe digestion.

Tips for the doshas :

Too much of the sour taste is aggravating for pitta and kapha dosha types, so if you’re dominant in these doshas, consider reducing the lemon to a quarter. The sour taste is helpful for vata types, so you can be more liberal with the lemon juice. Ayurvedia recommends we mainly drink liquids at room temperature or above during the cooler months.

What you need

  • 2 Pukka Chamomile, Vanilla and Manuka Honey tea bags

  • Juice of ½ - 1 small lemon

  • A pinch of lemon zest

  • 200ml of water

  • Honey or coconut sugar to taste

How to make

  • Add boiling water to small jug, and infuse with Chamomile, Vanilla and Manuka Honey tea bags for 5-10 minutes until infused

  • Stir well, adding your lemon juice and zest and allow to cool slightly to drink warm

  • You can add honey or coconut sugar to taste before drinking
