Based in our award-winning Bristol head office and reporting to Pukka’s Herbal Mission Lead, the Sustainability Specialist is a permanent full-time role, with a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience, alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.

About the opportunity

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for delivering Pukka’s sustainability objectives in support of Pukka achieving its mission and pioneering social and environmental Impact Strategy.

You’ll support the Sustainability Manager to develop and implement the Climate Strategy and achieve net zero by 2030. You’ll be responsible for the delivery of the carbon reductions programme, inspiring and facilitating the Pukka Climate Champions’ Network.

You’ll develop Pukka’s sustainability content and partner with the Marketing team to support Pukka’s impact communications, ensuring Pukka represents itself authentically and transparently.

You’ll also work closely with the procurement team to project manage Pukka’s Best Practice Organic programme to help farmers employ best practices and focus on areas that are critical to resilience including water security, climate change, biodiversity and soil health, livelihoods, knowledge sharing and empowering future generations. This is a highly collaborative role, and you’ll manage key relationships across various teams whilst driving employee engagement on sustainability and developing creative ideas to improve sustainability in the office.

About you

You’ll have solid experience gained in a previous sustainability or related role and have strong project management skills along with experience of carbon reductions and reporting, supplier engagement and life cycle analysis.  

This fast-paced role has its complexities and challenges; therefore, you need to be highly organised and able to plan, focus, and prioritise tasks effectively. In addition, you’ll be experienced at engaging and influencing various stakeholders, inspiring them with plans and getting their buy-in, always with a clear and respectful communication style.  

With a positive attitude which inspires others to action, you’ll demonstrate a genuine and deep interest in plants and their relationship with people and the planet, championing the environment and sustainability.
