Based in our award-winning Bristol head office and reporting to Pukka’s Global Portfolio & Brand Lead, the Global Hot Beverages Lead is a permanent full-time role, with a competitive salary of up to £70,000 per annum depending on the experience, alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.

About the opportunity

In this exciting marketing position, you’ll be leading the long-term tea portfolio strategy including innovation, renovation and portfolio management to accelerate Pukka’s ambition to nurture healthier, happier lives through powerful plants. You will be an excellent strategic marketer pulling from data and insight sources globally with clarity of purpose to define the priority opportunities to drive growth.

You’ll be responsible for developing the innovation funnel alongside the product managers and cross-functional teams to ensure that our innovation plans are consumer-centric, channel-focused, and will deliver global penetration growth. In addition, you’ll ensure all plans align with strategic need state focus and build a total Pukka story alongside Pukkaware, supplements, and the innovation hub.

You’ll analyse category dynamics and determine the role Pukka plays and could play in key markets. You’ll also work closely with international markets to identify key portfolio opportunities for Pukka that drives brand awareness and maximises profitability and growth. In addition to all things’ innovation, you’ll be responsible for core business management working on EPD activity, operational improvements, performance analysis, the leadership of the tea portfolio team and budget management. You’ll also work closely with the eCommerce and insight team and Natural Channel/Organic/OOH teams to ensure inputs and insights are always fed into the development process.

This is a highly collaborative role, and you’ll manage key relationships across various teams whilst leading and development a team of four experienced individuals.

About you

With solid experience in marketing, innovation development, people management and project management, you’ll be able to draw on your experience of developing innovative concepts through to launching on the shelf. Whilst not essential, prior knowledge of the tea/hot beverages category, or wellbeing and health products more generally, would be beneficial and an appetite for understanding and staying on top of new consumer and category trends.  This fast-paced role has its complexities and challenges; therefore, a positive and creative approach to problem-solving is essential. You’ll be a leader with an entrepreneurial mindset to business, with an excellent track record of line management skills and proven success in developing teams. In addition, you’ll be experienced at engaging and influencing stakeholders and senior leaders, exciting and inspiring with plans and getting their buy-in, always with a clear and respectful communication style.

With a strong eye for creativity and design and excellent attention to detail, you’ll demonstrate a desire and ambition to innovate and deliver beautiful creations that appeal to all senses. Your obsession with consumers will also shine through, showing your deep curiosity about people and categories.
