Are you a Finance Assistant with experience in purchase ledger and looking for a new role? Do you aspire to work for a purposeful, sustainable, and growing ethical business? Based in our inspiring Bristol head office and reporting to our Finance Manager, we’re looking for someone to join us on an interim contract for 6-9 months. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of up to £ 26,000 per annum and a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.
About the opportunity
Working as part of our friendly finance team you’ll support the day-to-day smooth running of the purchase ledger. You’ll ensure that supplier invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner and in accordance with payment terms. You’ll set up new suppliers and customer accounts, reconcile supplier statements, report on purchase ledger KPIs and ensure internal controls are embedded in our processes. Taking payments over the phone and maintaining the Accounts email inbox, you’ll build effective relationships on the phone and via email with suppliers, customers and Pukka people.
The right qualities and values are more important to us than qualifications, so we are looking for an individual ideally with experience in a similar role. You’ll be a team player, self-motivated, proactive and one who takes pride in the quality and accuracy of their work. Comfortable using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, you’ll also have some experience of using ERP systems. You’ll have great communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
You’ll have worked in a fast-paced environment where you’ve honed your ability to work to deadlines and have experience and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively. With a flexible approach to work and change you’ll approach problems with a positive attitude and be able to change gear quickly as events demand. An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, you’ll have a friendly and professional email etiquette and phone manner and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service to our suppliers and customers.
If you are to be our Finance Assistant, you’ll be passionate about contributing to a purpose-led mission – everything you do is designed to inspire people to nurture healthier, happier lives through powerful organic plants.
