Portfolio Assistant Brand Manager

Based in our award-winning Bristol head office, we are looking for an Assistant Brand Manager to join our Pukka Life (Marketing) team. The role is a 9 month fixed term contract, full-time, with a competitive salary of £25k to £35k per annum (pro rata) depending on experience. About the role

We’re looking for an Assistant Brand Manager to support our Portfolio Project Lead to implement artwork and packaging changes across the entire tea portfolio which are required due to Brexit. Acting as a brand champion, you’ll ensure all packaging artwork changes comply with brand guidelines and quality specifications to support Pukka’s position as one of the smartest, most beautiful and authentic brands in the world.

Working closely with the Portfolio Project Lead, you’ll provide essential support in the delivery of an accurate, on-time, on-brand and on-budget project. You will support the core artwork team and project meetings, recording actions and updating key project documents, as well as managing the budget and purchase orders for artwork, origination and design.

You will complete required documentation and artwork project briefs to enable the start of the artwork process with our Unilever colleagues, and assist with artwork and pack image asset approvals. Ensuring final artwork files are in line with Pukka print and colour standards, you’ll also help communicate the changes and timings to relevant Pukka teams by updating relevant training, literature, and presentation decks.

About you

To be our Assistant Brand Manager you’ll have experience working in marketing with a background and interest in developing and managing FMCG portfolios and innovation. You’ll also have a graduate level qualification (or equivalent) ideally in marketing or a business-related subject, or demonstrable experience of working in FMCG marketing.

A strong track record of delivering to tight timelines and managing multiple projects, you’ll have functional knowledge of project management techniques, such as the stage-gate approach. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and at pace, you’ll be skilled at prioritising effectively, making quick decisions and taking purposeful action to keep projects moving.

A good communicator, both written and oral, you’ll have great attention to detail, in terms of proofing, and be able to join the dots to keep all workstreams running smoothly. You’ll be able to demonstrate clear-headed thinking to solve immediate project issues and remove barriers. Able to thrive with ambiguity and handle change, you’ll deal with projects elegantly and flexibly when things are not running smoothly.
