IT Support Assistant

Based in our inspiring Bristol head office, the IT Support Assistant is a full-time, 6 month fixed term contract role, with a salary of up to £25,000 per annum (pro rata) alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.
About the opportunity
Working in our small IT team you’ll act as 1st / 2nd line support to your Pukka colleagues wherever they are located whether working from home, office, field-based or at our warehouse. Day to day you’ll acknowledge and resolve IT issues where possible, and escalate to our Unilever team or third party external support providers where necessary.
You’ll support the Pukka team using Microsoft Teams, phone, email and face-to-face and aim to help resolve IT issues where possible. You’ll set up new equipment and decommission old equipment, monitor and re-order supplies (e.g. printer toners) and connect with external support providers where required. You’ll be involved in user administration such as creation, archiving and password resets and provide cover for our Business Systems Specialist on Pukka IT Infrastructure. Occasionally you may be required to support out of hours as and when required by the business.
To be our IT Support Assistant you’ll have demonstrable experience in a 1st line IT Support role and have any relevant IT qualifications to support your skillset.
You’ll have experience working with MS Windows 10 and MS Office 365, as well as a combination of some of the following – Networking (Switches, VPNs, TCP/IP, Firewalls), Active Directory (Including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy), MS Windows Server (2008 R2 and newer), Mac OSX, Android / iOS, vmWare and Veeam, MSSQL, Oracle and IFS, and Avaya IP Office.
Alongside your IT skills and experience you’ll possess good communications skills, a positive telephone manner and a passion for helping others. A can-do attitude you’ll demonstrate a dynamic approach to problem solving, show common sense and good judgement and have a positive attitude and willing to help others. Clear-headed and calm under pressure you be able to demonstrate resilience and determination.
Highly organised you’ll be able to prioritise work effectively and demonstrate a good level of attention to detail. You’ll open to change, thrive working at pace and have a keen desire to learn and develop within a team.
