Based in our award-winning Bristol head office, The Herb House, the Office Manager is a permanent role. The role is suitable for full-time or part-time working a minimum of 30 hours per week and has a salary of up to £32,000 per annum depending on the experience, alongside a brilliant benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.

About the opportunity

This exciting opportunity requires a flexible and proactive individual who enjoys a mix of routine and variety on a day-to-day basis. Reporting to the Head of Office, Projects and IT, this role will cover a range of both administrative and hands-on tasks that support the fast-paced and agile activities of Pukka.

You will be responsible for the facilities and office management within our demised office space and for the facilities contracts and arrangements for our warehouse. In this role, you will be the primary contact to all the people arriving at the office and act as the central point of contact for the company, liaising between the Pukka team, co-ordinating queries from all departments & external sources.

Take overall control of managing and ordering all office supplies, stationary, food, and drink in line with budget, raise purchase orders, and approve invoices in the company finance system. In addition, maintain the look of the office by keeping it tidy and well stocked, through to working on larger scale high-profile office and facilities projects when needed.

You’ll liaise with the Health & Safety Officer and act as a fire marshal & first aider. Support the sustainability team with data on travel, waste, energy, and utilities. Play an active role in Pukka events based in the Herb House, including but not exclusively the quarterly company days.

About you

You’ll have previous experience in office management/administration, preferably have relevant business qualifications, and a driving licence to facilitate travel between the two sites.

With good organisational skills, you’ll be able to plan, focus and prioritise your work effectively. Communicating well across the teams is essential, and you’ll be naturally collaborative and build excellent working relationships with all the stakeholders. High proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and databases, will be necessary to fulfil the role.

You’ll be able to confidently manage multiple tasks, have a personable, down-to-earth nature, and can anticipate problems and effectively resolve issues whilst maintaining an enthusiastic and positive attitude.

You must be able to work on your initiative, be confident to make suggestions and influence change, and preferably have experience organising events.
