About Sebastian Pole
Sebastian Pole is co-founder and Master Herbsmith of Pukka Herbs, creators of organic and ethically traded herbal tea and supplements. Founded 15 years ago, Pukka has become globally recognised and respected for its herbal teas, wellbeing supplements and pioneering approach to sustainable business practices.
Pukka started life in 2001 as a simple idea: connect people with the incredible wonders of herbs. This idea manifested when Sebastian recognized the importance of growing and using high-quality herbs and answered an advert in a Bristol magazine, placed by fellow co-founder, Tim Westwell, who was in search of a likeminded business partner who shared his passion for nature and desire to contribute to a more positive world. Fast forward 15 years and Pukka Herbs is one of the most successful organic herbal tea companies in the world – over two million cups of Pukka are drunk every day across more than 40 countries.
Pukka’s range of herbal remedies have become internationally recognised as the benchmark in high-quality plant-based organic food supplements. Together they have created a business model that is socially, environmentally and economically regenerative; 100% organic, 100% Fair For Life teas, that gives 1% of turnover to environmental charities and is committed to business being a positive force for good as a member of the B-Corporation.
As well as formulating all Pukka Herbs’ organic herbal teas and supplements, Sebastian also runs his own herbal practice in Bath. He has been in clinical practice since 1998. Sebastian is a registered member of the Ayurvedic Practitioners Association, Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and the Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners.
Fluent in Hindi, a registered yoga therapist, an obsessive gardener and passionate about running a business that brings benefit to everyone it connects with, Sebastian is on a mission to bring the incredible power of plants into people’s life.
