The Soil Association Charity and Pukka Herbs have teamed up to help you make small, positive changes for your wellbeing. It’s important to take for yourself - to relax and reset. And what better way to indulge than with a natural, nourishing face mask? Using organic ingredients in your skincare routine is a great way to gently soothe your skin and make it glow using the power of nature. Holly Huntley, Pukka’s Herbal Education Specialist will walk you through how to make your very own organic face mask at home, using just 3 ingredients. For centuries, turmeric beauty masks have been used across Asia, helping to brighten the skin and make it look and feel fresh and clean. As a strong antibacterial, this wonderspice is effective against acne and eczema. It’s antioxidant properties also help support skin rejuvenation, helping to soften lines and wrinkles and give your face a more youthful appearance. Our own beauty mask recipe also includes avocado which contains natural oils that penetrate deep into the skin, helping to soften and hydrate. Help Me Glow
Stinging nettle leaves act as an effective cleanser. The chlorophyll, mineral and vitamin-rich nettle plant has been used for centuries for internal cleansing of organs and skin. Fennel Seed - Fennel is one of nature's best remedies if you have digestive problems or constipation, as well as to excrete waste, prevent cystitis and urinary tract infections. Fennel acts as a diuretic and cleanses the waste that accumulates in the body. Peppermint Leaves - Refreshing Mint works to cool and soothe to the skin and is an effective means of reducing redness. Dandelion Root - The bittersweet dandelion root cleanses the body by strengthening the liver and intestines. Beetroot - purifies and relieves inflammation by stimulating liver, kidneys and intestines. It's also been claimed to be effective in cleansing impure skin. Red clover - this delicate herb with beautiful flowers cleanses the skin and renews glow. Turmeric - also known as the golden goddess in India, is an effective remedy for unclean skin and can help to reduce inflammation. Licorice root - this sweet root strengthens the kidneys and relieves skin irritation. Lemon juice - lemon juice heals and strengthens the liver and keeps the skin clean and fresh. This recipe contains dried nettle, but you can pick the fresh nettle shoots in the spring and make your very own fresh and super healthy tea. You can also dry the vitamin-rich nettle leaves for later use. Dry them on a baking tray or hang them to dry in a cool place for a day or so. From the book Cleanse, Nurture, Restore with Herbal Tea by Sebastian Pole, illustrator Kim Lightbody, published by Frances Lincoln. The recipe is for 2 people and takes 15 minutes to prepare.

Three ginger vodka spritzer
One of our absolute favourites for helping to stoke your inner fire, ginger root is a dream come true for mixologists too. Both spicy and sweet, ginger can be just the ingredient to give a cocktail recipe a fiery zing and really bring it to life. We've taken things to the next step, by creating a cocktail syrup using our Three Ginger tea. This blend of sweet galangal, ginger and golden turmeric is both refreshing and warming so can be enjoyed come rain or shine. Serve up and enjoy with bourbon, tequila or (like below) vodka.
