Business Systems IT Specialist

Based in our award-winning Bristol head office, the Business Systems IT Specialist is a permanent full-time role, with a competitive salary of up to £35k per annum depending on experience alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.
About the opportunity
This exciting new IT and business systems role provides a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to partner and support across the business, providing Pukka with a high value for money, efficient and accessible business systems infrastructure.
This is a varied and wide ranging IT technical role which has responsibility for providing 2nd line support for business systems, managing our systems administration, onsite server management, small app development projects, supplier management, as well as some smaller site based requirements.
We’re looking for the right candidate to join us and ensure system availability and resilience in line with KPI objectives, providing direct technical support and escalation management to third line support providers. The role will also scope developments that will improve efficiency with stakeholders and will build developments in house or manage supplier developments to deliver them. All of this will be achieved through excellent cost management.
Partnering with suppliers, our Unilever colleagues and all Pukka people at our Herb House and Quadrant sites (our Warehouse), this is a unique role with the opportunity to have a direct impact on all business systems.

We’re looking for someone educated to A level, HND or GNVQ level in an IT related subject, with substantial experience of Windows Server administration. With experience of relational database management systems, and of software development, you’ll also be able to demonstrate an ability to manage suppliers and deliver value for money. Our ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of our systems such as IFS, VMWare, Veeam, Oracle, BitDefender, Avaya, Filemaker & Audio Visual systems, as well as a good understanding of networking, however this isn’t essential.
You’ll be a great communicator who is able to influence and negotiate persuasively at peers and senior level, internally and externally. With a proven ability to work quickly and accurately you’ll also be able to present information appropriate to the audience in a tailored and concise way. This is a varied role, so you’ll be someone who enjoys juggling different tasks and priorities, with the ability to prioritise, plan and deliver as required.
