Beautiful World Competition Rules

These are the competition rules for the Pukka Herbs Beautiful World competition ("the Competition").  By entering the Competition you agree to be bound by these rules.

1. Objective

1. Entries of short films and still photography capturing a beautiful moment are invited to the Competition.
2. The most popular entries during the Competition [chosen by viewers of the Pukka Herbs Facebook page] will be combined by a professional studio into a Beautiful World film.  The top entry chosen by Pukka Herbs will win an Eco Holiday purchased via Canopy & Stars to the maximum value of ￡1,260. The holiday will be booked for 5 nights from Thursday the 15th of September to Monday the 20th of August 2013. Accommodation is self catering, for 2 adults and the option of 2 children.(Accommodation consists of a double bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds. Children must be over the age of 8 years) Travel to & from the vacation will not be paid for by the competition organisers. The prize also includes a half day visit with the WWF clean water project on the Rive Nar, Norfolk, on (DATE TBC) The winner will be selected from 5 shortlisted entries and announced at the WWF event, Earth Hour (28th March 2013). Shortlisters will be invited to attend the event and will be hosted for the day only. Travel etc will not be paid for by the competition organisers.

2. Closing Date

1. Entries may be made at any time from 2nd July to the end of February 2013.
2. Entries made after the end of February will not be accepted.

3. Entries

1. Entries should consist of a short film lasting between 5 and 10 seconds or photography still which relate to the Beautiful World theme.
   • Entries may consist of video footage or of one or more still pictures with or without a soundtrack.
   • Entries may consist of or include live action, animation or computer generated imagery.
   • Entries must not include images of any real person aged under 18 unless they have the explicit permission of the parent or guardian.
2. An entry can be made by:
   • completing the online entry form and uploading the entry onto the Beautiful World website at www.pukkaherbs.com/beautifulworld (the website); or
   • sending it to Pukka Herbs at 8 Hawkfield Business Park, Bristol, BS14 0BY together with a printed copy of the online entry form.
3. Pukka Herbs will use its reasonable endeavours to:
   • upload entries sent to it onto the website within a reasonable time; and
   • copy all entries on the website onto the Beautiful World Facebook page (the page).
4. Although Pukka Herbs believes that the website supports a wide variety of formats, no responsibility is accepted if you or it are unable to upload your entry for any reason before the Closing Date.
5. The person entering the Competition:
   • must be 18 or older;
   • must, include his/her name and contact details (email), when uploading the entry or send a printed copy with the entry;
   • may submit as many different entries as he/she wishes but not more than one copy of the same entry;
   • can be an employee of Pukka Herbs or otherwise professionally involved in the Competition or their immediate relatives, but their entries will not be viable for the prize fund.
6. All entries will be sent to a professional studio for inclusion in the Beautiful World film which will be featured on the website.
   • Use of the whole or part of the entry is at the discretion of the studio.
   • Pukka Herbs may ask the studio to consider other entries for inclusion as well as the monthly winning entries and shortlisted entries.

4. Prizes

1. At the closing date all monthly winners will be announced, as will the shortlisters and the winners (5 attendees) who will attend the premier of the film at the WWF organised event, Earth Hour.
   • The monthly winners will take part in publicity for Pukka Herbs and/or WWF-UK  if so requested;
   • Pukka Herbs reserves the right not to accept any number of winners in a month if it considers the entries chosen are not of sufficient quality.
2. All the monthly winners will be sent a selection Pukka Herbs’ products
   • The Beautiful World film will be shown via the website.
   • The première will take place in London at the WWF Earth Hour event in March 2013.
   • Shortlisters invited to the Earth Hour event and will pay their own expenses for attending the première.
   • The invitation to the première is non-transferable. The final prize find is non transferable.
   • If a winner is unable to attend the premier then Pukka Herbs may invite the next best entry.
3. No cash alternative will be available for any prize.

5. Ownership

1. All entries should consist entirely of original work by the person who enters it into the Competition.
   • Entries created by more than one person will be disqualified.
   • Entries should be created for the Competition and not have been shown elsewhere before being entered into the Competition.
2. The whole of each entry must be free of any copyright or other restrictions preventing Pukka Herbs using the entry in accordance with these rules:
   • The entry includes any soundtrack and all images including background images and characters.
   • Copyright may extend to both the composition and performance of any music or sound effects included in the soundtrack.
   • Entries should not include any trademarks, trade names, advertising material or obscene, violent or defamatory images.
3. The person entering the Competition will own all rights, including the copyright in the entry and by entering it into the Competition agrees that:
   • Pukka Herbs will be entitled to use the entry as it sees fit from the date it is uploaded until 12 months after the closing date;
   • the entry will not be used by the person entering the Competition or anyone else during the 12 months after the closing date;
   • using the entry includes its use in the Beautiful World film and in any advertising or promotional material for the film, Pukka Herbs, WWF-UK or any other person authorised by Pukka Herbs.

6. General

1. Pukka Herbs reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason at any time and to remove it from the website and the page.
2. In the event of any dispute the decision of Pukka Herbs is final.
3. Pukka Herbs will not enter into any correspondence regarding any aspect of the Competition.
4. The Competition is promoted by Pukka Herbs Limited of 8 Hawkfield Business Park, Bristol, BS14 0BY and governed by English law.  The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
5. The person entering the Competition releases Pukka Herbs, WWF-UK and Facebook and any of their group companies and the officers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents of any of them, from all liability and responsibility for any loss or damage that may result to them or a third party (including without limitation, any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damages and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise) in connection with the Competition.

The Subject line of your email will be displayed as the Title of your video and your email body message will be used as the video description.
